This feeling can be found in the alpine regions of the mountains, and while difficult to access in winter (unless you take a ski lift), the pastel colors of winter only make the distant lights of stars and campfires warmer, brighter. Light shines brightest in darkness, and when the light returns, there is a spirit to the cold landscape that offers us an ethereal comfort.

"Alpenstitium" is an original Brett Warniers painting, drawn by hand with a Wacom tablet in Photoshop, with some fine linework done in Illustrator.
